Helen Ann Handy-Cooper Glass 1958 2018

Obituary for Helen Handy-Cooper (Glass) Full Obit W/ Photo to run in the BC Shopper on Thurs. 8/9 Helen Ann Handy-Cooper, 60, of Battle Creek, Michigan, fell asleep in death on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Bronson Methodist Hospital after a two year battle with leukemia. She was born on March 24, 1958, the daughter of Elisha and Alberta (Newbill) Glass. Helen graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1977. She worked for Community Hospital and Quality Nursing Home Health Care. Helen was an AVID shopper, excellent cook and took great pride in her yard and flowers. Helen is survived by her daughters, Shantay and Jevonna Handy and son, William Handy Junior. Siblings, Bonnie Mae Bryant, Elisha Glass II, Harvey (Linda) Glass, Mable Glass, Patricia (Larry) Martin, Dianne (John) Morris, Jerbri (Gloria) Glass. Grandchildren, Jaylon, Jayliah, William III, Kevon, and Desmyn Handy and one great grandchild Jaylon Jr, along with a number of nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her Husband Robert Cooper, Father Elisha Glass, and Brother Harry Glass. Helen was very family oriented, planning reunions, picnics, pot lucks, and parties. Family viewing and cremation was held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Sunday, August 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 11:00.
