Obituary for Harvard Vickery Harvard A. Vickery, 72, of North Huntingdon passed away on August 11, 2018 in the UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born July 4, 1946, in Bronx, NY a son of the late Harvard Gaston and Betty Jane (Schodey) Vickery. He graduated from Norview High School and continued to receive a Degree in English from Old Dominion University after four years of service in the U.S. Air Force. Al worked as a Knights of Columbus Insurance Agent in Chesapeake, VA, and then was promoted as a General Agent in Pittsburgh; he picked the Pittsburgh Area because he loved the Steelers and Pirates. He was a dedicated fan. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in Irwin and a member of the knights of Columbus Council 1222, of Jeannette. Al is survived by his wife Carol E. (Bergstrom) Vickery; a son Philip; a daughter Susan and her husband, Alan; grandchildren Alex, Hunter, Bryce and Ben and his wife Cassie; a brother Paul Vickery and his wife, Brandy. The family wishes to thank the ICU Staff at UPMC East for their assistance and support of Al. Friends will be received 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church Irwin.
