OBITUARY H.M. Seymour Adams Jr. April 26, 1939 – August 17, 2018 H. M. Seymour Adams, Jr., 79, lost his seven year battle with lung cancer Friday, August 17, 2018. He passed peacefully in his home in Watkinsville. He is survived by his wife, Sheri, daughter Amanda and her husband Scott Christy, his stepdaughters Bambi Harris and Lila Fox, his sisters Anne Walker and Rita Adams, and his grandchildren Nicole Henson and Mason Hanley. Seymour was born, April 26, 1939 in Atlanta. He was the son of the late Dr. H.M. Seymour and Annette Adams. He lived in Atlanta through his high school years. He moved to Athens in 1957 where he attended and graduated from the University of Georgia. After serving in the US Army, he returned to the Athens area which he would forever call his home. His love of travel and all sports, especially baseball and Georgia football, carried him on many adventures across the country each season. Seymour was a loving husband, father, and a loyal friend. He will forever have an impact on anyone that had the pleasure to know him. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Sheila Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Flowers are welcomed and/or donations to the American Cancer Society can be made in his name.
