Obituary for Gregory Whaley Gregory A. Whaley, 54, of Paden City, WV died after a short illness while at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. Greg was born July 8, 1963 in New Martinsville, WV; son of Charles L. Whaley of Paden City, WV and the late Barbara A. (Henthorn) Whaley. He was a Journeyman Electrician for the I.B.E.W. local #968 out of Parkersburg; a 1981 graduate of Paden City High School, attended WV Institute of Technology and later attended Fairmont State College, member and Past-President of F.O.E. Eagles Aries #2281 in Paden City, loved the outdoors and fishing, a fan of WVU an avid fan of the Steelers and member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Whaley and his grandparents. Surviving in addition to his father are his sister, Michele Rosenlieb and her husband, Joe of Clarington, OH; sister-in-law, Elaine Whaley of Huston, TX; special friend, Junior Forrester of Sistersville, WV and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends received 1 p.m. – until time of service at 4 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made, in Greg’s name, to Paden City High School Football Program, 201 N 4th Ave., Paden City, WV 26159.
