George P Schnippel January 6 1938 July 29 2018 (age 80)

George P. Schnippel, age 80, of Sanford, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born on January 6, 1938 in Dinsmore Township, Ohio to the late Marcellus and Georgia Schnippel. He moved to Sanford in the early 1980s and was the former General Manager of Flea World. He had a lifelong love of basketball, playing in his youth and watching on television later on in his life. In addition to basketball, he enjoyed watching golf. Mr. Schnippel was also an avid bowler, often bowling twice a week at Airport Lanes. He is survived by his life partner, Earlene Garza; daughters, Kristin Geyer (Eric) and Nicole Hutchinson; sister, Nellie McMaster; grandchildren, Samantha, Paul, and Mason; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Quinn, and Reese; nephews, Ray, Charlie, and Jeff; and nieces, Judy, Connie, and Joan. A memorial service for Mr. Schnippel will be held at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Gramkow Funeral Home, Sanford.
