Obituary of George Earnest “Ernie” Kirby Funeral services for George Earnest “Ernie” Kirby, age 78, of Clarks, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 2, 2018 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Interment will follow at Little Star Cemetery in Kelly. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Ernie was born December 31, 1939 in Swampers and he passed from this life on July 28, 2018 at Jackson Parish Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bobbie Jackson Kirby; daughter: Pamela Bailey; granddaughters: Brandy Bailey and Jenny Clark; parents: Edd and Ollie Kirby; brothers: William, Thomas, Jimmy (infant), Travis, and Nolan; sisters: Mary Walters and Hattie McNemar. He is survived by his sons: Johnny Kirby and his wife, Donna; Eddie Kirby and his wife, April; daughters: Kimberly Clark and Tammy Floyd and her husband, Keith; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he is also survived by a brother: Shelton Kirby and his wife, Eileen; sisters: Eunice Taliaferro, Beverly McNutt and her husband, Tommy all of Wickett, Texas and Margie Scott and her husband, John of Winnsboro. Pallbearers will be Glen Barnhill, C.J. Kirby, Mickey Caraway, Josh Kirby, Justin Bailey, and Heath Bailey.
