She spent more than 25 years working at the Acadia Parish Library in Crowley, LA and the Church Point Branch Library. Later in life, after retirement, a move to Lafayette brought her closer to her children and grandchildren. She was fondly known as “Granny”. “Granny” took great pride in baking and candy-making to please every family member and many friends. She was an artist. The amazing flower beds she cultivated told a story of how much she loved beautiful things. The yard boasted double amaryllis, begonias, sweet satsumas and enormous lemons. A favorite sport was Women’s Softball. As a young woman, she played in the Church Point League. Later she loved following the Lady Cajuns and Tigers. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Alexander for years of skillful, devoted care. Also, thank you to Mary Simon, caregiver with just the right touch.
