Elsie Rush Hyler, age 94, of Danville, VA, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 03, 2018, at Riverside Healthcare. Mrs. Hyler was born on June 22, 1924, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Isaac Duff Rush and Cora Robertson Booth Rush. She lived all of her life in Danville, where she retired from Dan River Mills after twenty five years. Mrs. Hyler was married to Chester W. Hyler who preceded her in death and was a member of Holland Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Hyler is survived by her daughter-in-law, Louise Hyler; grandchildren, David E. Hyler (Amy Leigh), William P. Hyler (Teresa) and Amy Hyler Hylton (David). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Chester “Gene” Hyler. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend James Mays officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Swicegood Funeral Service is respectfully serving the Hyler family.
