Elmyra Myra King – Seel 2018

Elmyra Seel passed away on July 30, 2018 at Christiana Care Center in Delaware surrounded by family and friends. She was born to the late Arthur & Belle Butler King in Chester, P A. Myra attended Chester Public Schools; graduating from Chester High School in 1964, furthered her education with degrees from Temple University, Delaware Technical College, Eastern University with a BS in Nursing, and receiving her Masters in Human Sciences from Lincoln University. She was employed… Read More » by the Department of Welfare for 30 years as a Social Worker, also employed by Visiting Nurses Association of Chester, and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She also served as President of YWCA Board in Chester. In addition to her parents Myra was predeceased by 3 siblings, Arthur and Samuel King, & Minnie Carter She is survived by her husband Arthur Seel, daughter Angela Billups, sisters Gloria Wilson (Leroy) and Thelma Elam-Preston, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 10:00am at Bethany Baptist Church 1121 Tilghman Street Chester where friends may call from 8-10am.
