Obituary for Elizabeth Barber (Scott) MECHANICVILLE – Elizabeth Scott Barber, former native and resident of Mechanicville, died Friday, August 10th at her home in East Haven, CT, after a brief illness. Born in Mechanicville May 20, 1925 daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Notalina Scott, she was a 1943 graduate of Mechanicville High School. Sadly, Liz was recently predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Henry Barber who died on May 22nd and then her son Mark Barber on June 30th. She was also predeceased by her brothers Joseph, John, Louis and Frank Scott and sisters Rose Raucci, Esther Vaccarella, Mary Cefalo and Nora Scott. Survivors include his daughter in law Dawn Barber of Guilford, CT and 3 grandchildren: Nicholas, Emily and Christopher Barber. A Service will be held on Thursday, August 16th at 12:00 pm at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00-12:00pm. Order Flowers
