Obituary for Eleanor G. Kear Eleanor G. Kear Eleanor was born August 7, 1937 and died July 18, 2018 of heart failure. She was a 1955 graduate of McKinley High School and a 1967 graduate of Kent State University. She was a music teacher in the Canton City Schools and a pianist and accompanist who played for Voci, Canton Symphony Chorus and University of Akron. Memberships include Delta Kappa Gamma, D.A.R., MacDowell Club, Tuesday Musical Society and Christ Presbyterian Church Choir. She is survived by cousins, Dee Yohe, Judith Doershuk, Jeanine Johnson, Harvey Mitchell and best friend, Amy Hosking. According to her wishes there will no calling hours or services. A quiet burial was held in West Lawn Cemetery.
