Edith Mae Gilbert (nee DuPont) passed away at Care Partners Memory Care on August 18, 2018. She was born on September 14, 1938 in Eau Claire Wisconsin to Ida (Clark) and Joseph DuPont. Edith married Richard (Dick) Gilbert on December 13, 1958 in Eau Claire. She worked at the Severson Nursing Home. Edith enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Edith… Read More » is survived by children: Penny Brost of Augusta, Rick (Beth) Gilbert of Eau Claire, Randy Gilbert of Altoona, Kevin Gilbert of Lake Hallie, Pamela Gilbert of Eau Claire, and Tony (Julie) Gilbert of Eau Claire; grandchildren: Dusty Brost of Mexico, Nicole (Jamie) Olson of Fairchild, Wade (Jen) Brost of Inver Grove Heights MN, Jessica (Brandon) Golberg of Birchwood, Alisha Gilbert of Eau Claire, and Mackenzie Gilbert of Eau Claire; great grandchildren: Lilly Brost of Augusta, Parker Brost of Fairchild, Graham and Harper Brost of Inver Grove Heights, Kylie, Zoey, and Miles Golberg of Birchwood. Edith is preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Gilbert, her grandson Joseph Gilbert, and son-in-law Ronald Brost. Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 24th at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service, with a lunch to follow. Edith and Dick will be resting at Rest Haven Garden.
