Obituary for Dolores Marian Dekun Dolores fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Michael and beloved mother of Michele (Douglas) Templeton and Laura Porzondek. She was the very proud, cherished Grandmother of Melanie Templeton and Jeremy and Jenna Porzondek. She was the devoted daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Palgut and loving sister of the late Lucille Schupra. Dolores was step-grandmother to Robert Bruglio and Lisa King, and step-mother to their late mother Rosemary (Kenneth) Liederman. Dolores leaves behind cousins, nieces and nephews, Godchildren, and brother-in-law Stephen Schupra, as well as many dear friends and acquaintances. Dolores was born and raised in Detroit, graduating from Eastern High School in 1952. She worked as a secretary for the Detroit Public Schools Board of Education as well as secretary at Osborn High School. She married Mike in 1958 and devoted herself as full-time wife and mother since the early 1960’s. For her, family was everything. Throughout the years, she and Mike had the opportunity to travel on many short trips which they both enjoyed. She was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church where she still sang in the choir. While a resident at Pine Ridge of Plumbrook Senior Independent Living for only a few short months, she had settled in and enjoyed playing Bingo and attending musical events. Dolores’ warm smile will be greatly missed by all those who love her. As the Lord peacefully called her gentle soul to rest, we pray that her memory will be eternal.
