Char Nicholson, 90, passed away on August 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ted Nicholson, parents Waldemar and Elsie Radtke, and brother Jack Radtke. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Ruth Foglesong, children Rob and Nan Witte, Jeff Nicholson, and Tim and Sissie Nicholson. Her grandchildren Matt and Erin Hitzelburger, Jamie and Amanda Nicholson, Josh Nicholson and Lorin Baum. Her great-grandchildren Tessa Hitzelburger, Max and Sam Nicholson, Logan, Hannah, and Gunnar. Char was an active member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was one of the founding members of the Loyals and was a member of Priscilla Circle. Char worked as secretary for the Drug and Alcohol Abuse division of Van Buren County Health Services and Palisades Power Plant Information Center in South Haven, Michigan. She was an avid reader, averaging two to three books per week. She was warm-hearted, generous, and caring, excelling in hospitality – planning holidays and get-togethers for family and friends and helping others. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 30 years ago, however with her strong and positive attitude, she didn’t let it slow her down. Her strength and bravery to keep going was amazing. Take comfort in knowing that Char is now joyfully walking and dancing in Heaven and that she brought wonderful love, laughter and happiness to others.
