Charles E. Patterson, affectionately known as Chuck, Chuckie, Coach or Charlie, was born December 25, 1945 in Chester, Pa to Alberta Lewis who preceded him in death. Chuck was raised by his mother and extended family in the LV and was educated in the Chester Upland School District. Upon his graduation, Chuck went on to pursue a career in the United States Army. Chuck had… Read More » a huge heart and an unwavering affinity for his community and the children within the city of Chester. He was a mentor, leader coach and friend. His legacy lives on through in which he shaped, nurtured and inspired to be the best both athletically and academically. He was also an avid Eagles fan and clearly loved the game of basketball and sports in general. He was charismatic and loved hanging out with his partners Domingo & Joe and lifelong friends Kirk, Casey & Butch. Chuck was godfather to so many, but Kendra Thompson Johnson was his first godchild and he loved her and her family with his whole heart. Chuck may not have had biological children but was a father figure to children on Toby Farms community, specifically CaLeshia Johnson-Gresham and Domingo Johnson, Jr. He was an only child but forged strong bonds of friendship throughout his entire life. Chuck also had a special friend and companion Cynthia who visited him regularly. He absolutely adored her. How blessed we are to have had him. He’s now one of God’s Angels
