OBITUARY Carrie Ann Sprich June 29, 1945 – August 29, 2018 Carrie Ann Sprich, 73, of Sparta, New Jersey passed away on August 29, 2018 at Morristown Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Carrie was born in Manhattan, New York and was a resident of Sus County since 1979. She was an active union leader at the US post office for 30 years; retiring from Sparta in 2004. She was a champion for the underdog, a fighter for the unjust, a compassionate caregiver, a fierce lover of her family, and an advocate of union workers and women’s rights. She was the street fighter you always wanted in your corner. Carrie loved to knit, crochet, and garden. Carrie was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church and an employee for SCARC for over 10 years. She is predeceased by her beloved son Craig Sprich. Carrie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Edward D. Sprich. Devoted mother of Edward D. Sprich Jr, Suzanne Stigers and her husband Jake, Sean Sprich and his wife Shawna and Scott Sprich and his wife Melissa. Carrie is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Dana, Heather, Lauren, Hayley, Amy, Ashley, Stella and Liliana; greatgrandchildren: Jacob, Leela, Liam, Brynn and Izabella and sister to Elizabeth Dyer and her husband Bob, Ann Passalaqua and Gregory Bavonese and his wife Evelyn. Her beloved dog Buster will miss her as will many. Friends are invited to celebrate Carrie’s life from 4-8pm, today, Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery.
