Obituary for Beverly Harris Beverly Marie Garrison Harris, age 81, went to be with her blessed Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was born July 22, 1936 in Alliance, Ohio to Donald and Dora (Creighton) Garrison. Beverly was a 1954 graduate of Alliance High School, and went on to solo in a Piper Cub aircraft in 1956. She continued her education at Aultman School of Nursing, graduating in 1957. Bev worked at Alliance City Hospital as an Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics and Nursery Ward for 25 years. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, AARP, and Alliance Manufacturing Ladies Club. Bev was also a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Michael) McAninch of Goode, VA and Cynthia Harris of Charlotte, NC; sister, Brenda (Charles) Weber, of Forest, VA; grandchildren, Kristen McAninch, also of Goode, VA, and Jarrod (Kaylyn) McAninch of Harrisonburg, VA; nephew, Donald Page, and niece Debra (Grady) Dozier; and many beloved cousins, church friends, and caring neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Frank Harris, infant daughter, Victoria Lynn; and sister, Bonnie. The family will receive friends at the First Christian Church on Friday, April 20, 2018 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Phillips and Sue DeHoff co-officiating.
