Balwinder appreciated our world through his love of traveling. A notable trip was a teaching tour through China and Russia with a team of physicians from UPMC. With UPMC, Balwinder helped train new physicians in nuclear medicine while they were on their rotations. In addition to teaching others, he inspired many of his family members in the next generation to become pharmacists too. Some of his favorite hobbies included home projects, wood-working, his avid love for Pittsburgh sports, and his interest in news, politics, and finance. Above all, he was a very loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Friends welcome for Balwinder’s funeral service on Saturday, August 18 from 12-2 PM at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350. www.laniganfuneralhome.com
