Obituary of Earle Mott Josey Earle Mott Josey, 75, of Bear Creek died Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Josey was born in Chatham County on December 13, 1942 the son of Carl Mott and Lucy Irene (Keck) Josey. Earle was a retired truck driver for Sanford Contractors, Inc. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing golf, coon hunting, working in his yard and shop and listening to old Country Music. Earleā€™s greatest pleasure was time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lonnie Josey. Earle is survived by his wife of 56 years: Sandra Gale Josey; daughter: Kim Josey (Shannon Burke); sons, Danny Josey (Dana) and Mark Josey (Rachel); grandchildren, Chris, Katie, Bella, and Maddox Josey; brothers, Arnold Josey of AZ. and Wayne Josey; sisters, Helen Brooks and Sarah Howard. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Pittsboro with Rev. Jerry Sanders officiating. Memorials may be made to UNC Hospice, PO Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Online condolences may be made at www.pughfuneralhome.com.
