Thomas Samuel Trebotich 2018

Thomas (Tom) Trebotich, 85, passed away after a short illness on May 29, 2018 in Fremont, CA surrounded by his beloved wife, Margery and his family. He will always be remembered as a caring man with a genuine passion for helping others. Little league coach and umpire, School PTA leader, Hospital volunteer, empathetic business leader, he always made time for family, friends and others to help them in any way he could. Tom was a do-it-yourselfer and a skilled craftsman capable of repairing practically anything, from antique sewing machines to building house additions. Tom graduated from Fremont High in Oakland where he was a member of the ROTC. He held several patents related to his work in manufacturing office equipment at Tab Products. A life-long resident of the East Bay, he raised a family of five children – Gail, Michael, Lynn, Dave and Steve, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for fishing and hunting trips with the children as well as family vacations and road trips in the Delta and on the Coast. He loved his vacations in Europe, the Orient and areas around the country. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held for Tom at Berge-Pappas-Smith Mortuary at 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont at 1:30 PM on Thursday June 21. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Tom to the local chapter of the American Heart Association or to the Washington Hospital Foundation.
