Robert E. Wallace 89, of Plainfield, went home to be with the Lord July 25, 2018. Bob was the son of Osel and Margaret Wallace, born March 10, 1929. He was employed with Public Service Indiana for 33 years, Christ Corner Bookstore/Family Christian Bookstore for 22 years. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Plainfield serving in various capacities over 57 years. He had a love and passion for music, gardening, and family. He sang and led music at First Baptist Church for 40 years, he was in the Hendricks County Symphonic Choir, an active member of the Kiwanis in Plainfield, and carried a smile and warm heart for all whom he met, a quality that lives on in his children. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Wucher of Florida. He is survived by his wife Martha (Williamson) Wallace; daughters Julie (Jerry) Knust, Jo Ellen (Jeff) Hansen; grandchildren Adam (Angela) Knust, Hannah Knust, Caleb Knust, Blake (Heather) Hansen, Rachel (Joel) Neve, and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Plainfield, with burial to follow at the Stilesville Cemetery. Calling will be from 11:00 am until the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church music program 1012 Stafford Road Plainfield, IN 46168.
