Obituary for Rita Johnson (McGrath) RITA F. JOHNSON February 24, 1920 – June 24, 2018 Beacon, NY formerly of Washingtonville, NY Rita F. (McGrath) Johnson, of Beacon, NY, formerly of Washingtonville, NY entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2018 at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Beacon, NY. She was 98 years old. The daughter of the late Peter McGrath and Lauretta (Boland) McGrath, Rita was born on February 24, 1920 in Manhattan, NY. Rita was a retired Cashier/Clerk for ShopRite in Vails Gate, NY. She enjoyed family gatherings, reading, shopping, senior trips and going to Atlantic City. Rita was predeceased by her husband: Einar Johnson. She is survived by her sons: Dennis Johnson of New Windsor, NY and Edward (Barbara) Johnson of New Windsor, NY; 4 grandchildren: Kelly (Christian) Dominick, Keith (Desiree) Johnson, Ashley Johnson and Erin Johnson; 5 great grandchildren: Branden, Kaci, Emily, Izaiah and Cody. A Graveside Service took place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-On-Hudson, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Quigley Bros.
