OBITUARY Richard Patrick Hick October 26, 1966 – July 26, 2018 Rich, age 51, met his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home in Kerman, California, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He is survived by his wife Melinda Hick of 31 years; His sons, Patrick Hick, Christopher & Gladys Hick; daughter, Jessica & Vincent Ortega; his seven grandchildren, Jaymee Marie, Hailey Anne, Miley Kate, Ryan Thomas, Tayler Kay Marie, Ezekiel Nehemiah, and Vincent Morrie, aka Rooster; his grandmother Nancy Keenan, mother Carol Wright; sister Caroline Delsid; uncles Charles Rowan, Rick Hick, Bob Hick, Kent Keenan; and Aunt Rose; in-laws, Tully & Rhonda McClellan, Jimmy & Rebecca McClellan; many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Rich was preceded in death by his father Louis Hick; his sister Anastasia Souza; his in-laws, Gene & Maxine McClellan, Deborah Brown, Dyton McClellan, Tom McClellan, and Elaine Wright; and his nephews, Tully McClellan and Brian Texeira. Rich was born in San Mateo, California and raised in San Francisco. He moved to the valley when he married Melinda in 1987. Rich was a hard working man with a career in welding and agriculture. He loved serving his community and his church. His greatest treasure was his family and friends, but the apple of his eye were his grandbabies.
