Richard G. Meisberger, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 30, 2018. Richard was born on December 20, 1932 to the late Leonard H. and Elsie (Binninger) Meisberger. Richard is survived by two sisters, Doris Tuccio and Margaret Gregory; one brother, Carl David Meisberger. Richard graduated from Cathedral High School in 1950 and Marian University in 1959. He served in the US Army from 1953 – 1955. He was employed as an accountant and controller for 27 years at College Life… Read More » Insurance Company and began a new career in accounting at the Indiana Department of Revenue where he retired in 2009. Richard was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3660. He served as a volunteer for Junior Achievement and many church organizations. Richard is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Martin) Meisberger. They were married on July 23, 1960. He is survived by his children, Thomas R. Meisberger of Chicago, IL, Lisa M. Griesemer (Ron) of Trafalger, IN, Linda L. Arthur (Kenny) of Indianapolis, IN, and Martin A. Meisberger (Stacy) of Loveland, OH. Richard was the beloved grandfather of Nathan, Jacob, and Andrew Meisberger, Austin, Lindsey, and Alex Arthur, and Caroline Griesemer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. Prayers will be conducted on Monday, July 9 at 10:15 am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis. Richard will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral High School Class of 1950 Scholarship Fund.
