Ray Underwood, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 29, 2018. He was born on December 5, 1935 in Green County, KY. Ray loved bowling, fishing, BINGO, mushroom hunting, and going to the casino. Most of all, he loved and was always there for his family. Ray served with Elvis Presley while serving in the United States Army. He was married to Jean Ann Underwood, she preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Gary Underwood, brother, Everett Underwood; and special friend, Dorothy Wilson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3 at the funeral home. Ray will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
