Obituary for Nancy Taylor Strickland Nancy Taylor Strickland, 70, of Georgetown, wife of Larry “Nicky” Phillip Strickland passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at East Cooper Medical Center. A Gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10 o’clock until hour of service at Cathedral of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Rd., North Charleston, SC 29418. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11 o’clock. Flowers will be accepted. Nancy was born on October 1, 1947 in Johnsonville, SC, daughter of the late David B. and Ethel Taylor. She was a member of Cathedral of Praise. She owned Calico Closet, a children’s clothing Boutique, in Georgetown and Mt. Pleasant. She loved people, shopping and reading. Survivors including her husband Larry are: two sons: Ron Strickland (Tiffany) of Georgetown, SC and Justin Strickland of Charlotte, NC; one daughter: Tina Smith (Jeff) of Charlotte, NC; one step daughter: Micki Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren: Taylor, Hampton, Connor, Sullivan, and Charlotte; two sisters: Brenda Williams (Marshall) of Georgetown, SC and Deborah Prosser (Ed) of Chapin, SC.
