Obituary for Mr Ora Gene Fogleman Ora Gene Fogleman, 79, of Columbus and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana passed away at 4:04A.M. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Mr. Fogleman was a United Stated Army Veteran and retired from Railroad Norfolk Southern where he was a Switchman. He loved sports- especially baseball and enjoyed coaching little league teams. Some of his favorite joys were spending time with his family, traveling, taking care of his lawn, cars, singing karoke, telling jokes and storytelling, his morning coffee with friends, refereeing, and collecting model trains. He was a member of the American Legion Rainbow Post 263 in Cayuga, where in earlier years he had served as Chaplin; he also had served on the North Vermillian High School board. Born January 14, 1939 in Veedersburg, Indiana the son of Orrin Kirk and Thelma L. Frazier Fogleman. He married Carol Sue Davis. Graveside services will be on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2P.M. at Rockfield Cemetery in Veedersburg, Indiana. Military graveside honors will be presented by the Veedersburg American Legion Post 288. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Services were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver, Glick Funeral Home in Columbus, Indiana. Hartman of Wilmington, North Carolina, Kim Fogleman of Columbus, Peggy (Marc) Strawser of Fishers, and Chris “Chip” (Rachelle Severns) Fogleman of Seattle, Washington; Grandchildren, Bobby Hartman, Jacob Hartman, Andrea Hartman, Luke Hartman, Carolyn Travis, Lucy Travis, Audrey Travis, Peyton Strawser, and Joey De Chico; Step-brother, David Sebree of Frankfort; Step-sister, Annette; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Fogleman; Son-in-law, Forest Hartman; and grandchildren, Andrew and Phoebe Hartman.
