Michael Justin Miller, 27, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 in Carbondale, IL. He was born on April 21, 1991 to Michael and Jackie (Engle) Miller, along with his twin sister, Lyndsey in Louisville, KY. He was a 2009 graduate of Charlestown High School, a 2014 graduate of Indiana University Southeast, a 2017 Masters graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, WI, and he was a Doctoral student in Applied Psychology at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. He worked as an Associate of SIU’s Applied Research Consultant Department, and served as a Graduate Research Assistant in SIU’s Department of Workforce and Education Development, and was a member of the American Psychological Association and International Honor Society in Psychology. He had a passion for food, music, dogs, and hiking. Survivors include his parents, Mike and Jackie Miller of Charlestown, IN; his sister, Lyndsey Miller of Sellersburg, IN; grandfather, Robert B. Miller, Sr. of Bronston, KY; best friend and brother in his heart, Aaron May of Louisville, KY; goddaughters, Zariya and Wednesday May; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will begin at 12noon till 3pm Sunday, July 15, 2018 with funeral services to follow at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Humane Society of donor’s choice.
