Mary Patty Louise Bowling Koval May 30 1925 July 1 2018 (age 93)

Mary “Patty” Louise (Bowling) Koval, 93, of Burlington, died at 2:15 AM Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington. Born May 30, 1925, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harry and Rosa Moyers Powell. On September 26, 1942, she married Lawrence “Larry” Bowling. He died on September 21, 1969. She later married Robert J. Koval on November 23, 1973. He died on December 22, 2008. Mary worked as a supervisor and inspector for Chittenden and Eastman. She enjoyed playing the Lottery and watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. She loved to feed all the neighborhood animals, from cats to her favorite ground squirrel. She always had a small garden and a love for yellow roses. Most of all she enjoyed going on rides with her dog, Samantha and spending time with her family. Survivors include her four children, Barbara (Greg) McPherson of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Gary (Connie) Bowling of Yuma, AZ, Tom (Susan) Bowling, Sr. of West Burlington, IA, Deborah (Nic) Rexing of Beaverton, OR; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Marjorie Williams, Jimmy Powell, Nancy Blain, Linda Jenkins, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
