OBITUARY LTC Robert “Bob” Battaglia September 24, 1928 – July 26, 2018 LTC Robert “Bob” Battaglia US Army Retired of San Antonio, passed away Thursday July 26, 2018. He was born in Laredo, Texas to Anthony M Battaglia and Willimina (Fehls) Battaglia on September 24, 1928. He was a master gardener, trustee and historian at Coker Cemetery Association, Usher at Frist Baptist Church of New Braunfels, founder of Tau Delta Fraternity at St. Marys University, a veteran of the Korean War, officer of the Alamo Genealogy Association and retired as regional sales manager after 35 years from Dixie Food Service / Marathon Products. Preceding him in death were his parents and his son David B. Battaglia. Survivors include his wife Phyllis Duncan Battaglia; daughters Julia Overbeck Weber, Sheryl Skaggs; son Dan Duncan; grandchildren Carson, Kannon, Kaiden, Grace, Ryan, Chanda, Reid and Dylan. Visitation will be from 6 pm until 9 pm Sunday July 29, 2018 at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday July 30, 2018 at 10 am at Zoeller Funeral Home with burial to follow in Comal Cemetery.
