Obituary for Kelvin Glascoe The family of Kelvin Glascoe is sad to announce that Kelvin left us on July 20, 2018 with his wife and sons by his side at his home in Hyattsville, Maryland. Kelvin was born on October 9, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Willie and Everneal Glascoe. He graduated from Lindblom Technical High School in 1976 and enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged in 1979. Afterwards, he enrolled in Eastern Illinois University (EIU) where he met, then later married Lise Renee Hawkins. After graduating from EIU in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics, with a math and management dual minor, he obtained a cost analysist trainee position with the Department of Defense. He would spend the next 30+ years working in various Federal agencies perfecting his craft and rising to the top of his field. He spent the last 7 years practicing his craft at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He would also spend the last 14 years giving back to the community as a coach with the Kettering Largo Mitchellville Boys and Girls Club. He is survived by his wife, Lise Glascoe, his 2 sons, Tristan and Rashad Glascoe, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Decatur and Alice green and a host of friends and relatives. His family will be honoring and celebrating his life in a Memorial Service on August 13, 2018, at 12:00 noon at: VFW Post 9619 6527 Suitland Road Morningside, MD 20746 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hampton University in Kelvin Glascoe’s name.
