Obituary for John L. Lathrop John L. Lathrop, age 69, of Kankakee passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee. He was born March 15, 1949 in Belleville, the son of Harold & Ethel McFerron Lathrop. John worked as a computer programmer with Kaiser Corporation in Oakland, California. He enjoyed computers, electronics, and trains. John was a very loving and generous person. Surviving are one sister, Carole Moeller of Nashville, IL; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert & Audrey Lathrop of Manhattan and James Lathrop of Ardmore, TN; and several nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Billy Lathrop. As per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Private inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville, IL.
