Jack Ryan Stabley Jr March 29 1941 June 26 2018 (age 77)

Jack Ryan Stabley Jr., 77, of Williamsport, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services North. Born March 29, 1941, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Jack R. and S. Elizabeth (Shaner) Stabley Sr. Jack was a 1960 graduate of Williamsport High School. He graduated in 1965 from Lycoming College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also attended Delaware Valley College. Jack was a chemist for many years for the Williamsport Water & Sanitary Authority’s and retired in 2006 from the City of Harrisburg as the Water Quality Administrator. Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, entomology and studying lichens. He was an avid reader. In his younger years, he enjoyed hiking the Adirondack Mountains. Surviving is his wife, Margaret A. (Richie) Stabley. They would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on June 28. Also surviving are sons: Andrew, Christopher and Mark Stabley, Justin (Corry), Braden (Tiffany) and Ryan (Karen) Peterson; a daughter, Jean (Nik) Lenios; and four granddaughters, Jocelyn, Kassidy, Pamela and Julianna Peterson. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, at Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker St., Williamsport. The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at alzfdn.org.
