Jack Russell Westwood, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Morrison Manor. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Terry Hunt. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, under the care of Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home. Born Dec. 5, 1932, in Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Roy and Anna Bernadine Schaub Westwood. Jack was a college professor of Math and taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and also at Waynesburg College. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg, N.C., and also of First Baptist Church of Waynesburg and of Kittanning. He also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, 11 months, 1 week and 1 day, Patricia Marie Westwood of the home; daughter, Sandra Westwood Brady of Laurinburg; sons, Mark Daniel Westwood of Butler, and Jeffery Glenn Westwood of Laurinburg; and grandchildren, Ian Eckman, Grace Brady and Glenn Westwood.
