Horacio Pedro Etcheverry, 93, passed away on July 25, surrounded in love by his family. He attended the Universidad of Buenos Aires, during which time he was among the first group to survey Mount Aconcagua. He went on to work for Mobil Oil as a geophysics engineer in Dallas, Texas for close to two decades. He had a passion for soccer- he coached, played, and led multiple teams to victory. He will always be remembered as a man whose love of Christ dictated his actions and how he treated others. He was a humble man who brought tremendous joy into the lives and hearts of all those he encountered. He delighted in spoofing others with his impersonations. He had a childlike silliness and playful manner especially when he used his Frankenstein or Darth Vader masks. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Elena, whom he cherished and adored, his three daughters Maria Elena, Marta and her husband Danny, and Maria Graciela and her husband Michael, and his four grandchildren who affectionately call him “PepĂ©” Michelle, Ryan, Danielle, and Emilie. A Catholic mass will be held on Monday, July 30 at 11:00 at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Greensboro. Arrangements entrusted to Triad Cremation & Funeral Service of Greensboro NC.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Horacio Pedro Etcheverry July 20 1925 July 25 2018 (age 93). Triad Cremation Society & Chapel
