Gisela Cooper, 69, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, July 06, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, on Thursday, July 12, 2018. The interment will conclude the service at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery, 64-66 Custer Rd, Columbus, GA. Gisela Cooper was born July 30, 1948 in Schwabmuenchen, Germany to the parents Edward Hainrech Holme and Katharina Holme. Gisela enjoyed great food, reading and shopping. She was a loving and devoted mother Who will forever be missed. Other than her parents, Gisela is predeceased by her husband, William H. Cooper. Survivors include her son, Ralf Spieckermann and spouse Karine; granddaughter Sandra Spieckermann; sisters, Wilhelmine, Elfriede and Brigitte; mother-in-law, Elsie L. Elliott; sister-in-law, Mary Battie and husband Alvin; special friends, Sherrell and Fred Catchings of Phenix City, AL and bonus nieces, Ashley Catchings and Nichole Leverette
