Obituary for Florine “Flo” Roeder Florine “Flo” Roeder, 77 Amherst resident Florine A. “Flo” Roeder, 77, of Amherst died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Interment will follow at the Stanley Cemetery in Amherst. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Amherst Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Florine was born June 23, 1941 to Stanley and Hazel (Litchenberger) Leibhart in Callaway, NE. She attended school in Sumner. On October 11, 1965, Florine was united in marriage to Dennis Roeder. The couple made their home near Amherst where Florine assisted Dennis farming, milking cows and raising chickens. She also waitressed at Stockman’s for several years. After over 20 years on the farm, Florine and Dennis moved into Amherst in 1993. Florine enjoyed making pies, playing cards and the conversations she had at coffee. She will be remembered for her love of flowers, gardening and her green thumb. Left to cherish her memory are her children Stan (Rhonda) Jeffries of Overton, Doug (Melanie) Jeffries of Madrid, NE, Robin (Chantal) Jeffries of Phillipsburg, KS, Shelly (Glen) Brown of Amherst, Richard (Tracey) Roeder of Amherst, Doyle Roeder and girlfriend Jamie Legates of Kearney and Casey Roeder of Chicago, IL; 25 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; siblings Connie (Bill) Rader of Sumner, Ron (Linda) Leibhart of Imperial, Brad (Pam) Leibhart of Imperial, Rick Leibhart of Kearney, Paul (Rita) Leibhart of Overton, Cindy (Bill) Bardsley of Lamar, NE; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
