Obituary for Ethel McTaggart Moore Mrs. Ethel McTaggart Moore, age 73 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Moore was born December 19, 1944 in Tate, GA to the late James McTaggart and the late Mary Stamey McTaggart. A member of Peachtree Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy Dean Moore, one son, Michael Moore, and one sister, Martha McTaggart. Ethel worked as a seamstress for Levi-Strauss for many years, and enjoyed gardening in her spare time, growing both flowers and vegetables. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sheila Moore, son, Allen Moore, twin sister, Betty Roberts, sisters, Joan Priest and Ruby Dodd, brothers, Junior McTaggart, Charles McTaggart, Randal McTaggart, and Glenn McTaggart, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in the Peachtree Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Donald Moore, Allen Moore, Ethan Moore, Matthew Moore,Will Coleman and Ray Colon.
