OBITUARY Elisa Varela Vigil December 2, 1926 – July 15, 2018 Elisa was born December 2, 1926 in Houston, Texas to Luiz and Dolores Varela and passed away July 15, 2018 in Visalia, California at the age of 91. Elisa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Amado, Jose, Serapio and Blas Varela; sisters Hilaria Varela Longoria and Anita Varela Manzenales; her husband Santos Vigil; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Elisa leaves behind her children Maria Martinez, Martha Molina, Alejandro (Peggy) Vigil, Santos (Lupe) Vigil, Rosalinda (Leopoldo) Martinez, Alfredo (Sally) Vigil, Elena McClain, Virgil (Debbie) Vigil, Luis (Catherine) Vigil and Samuel Vigil. 27 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and life long family friend Maria Romero. Our mom enjoyed telling humorous stories and making everyone laugh. She will be missed but, everyone has their own fond memories to remember her by. Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Visalia. The Rosary will be at 9:30 the mass will follow at 10:00 on Monday, July 23, 2018.
