Obituary for Earline M. Upchurch Earline May Upchurch, 85 years of Columbia, IL, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 at Garden Place of Columbia IL. She was born November 16, 1932, in East Saint Louis, IL, daughter of the late Nelson and Adeline, nee Traiteur, Girard. Mrs. Upchurch received her high school education in Dupo, IL. She was married to the late Robert E. Upchurch for 62 years. Earline worked along side her husband as a secretary at Upchurch Insurance Agency for many years. She loved her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are all boys. Earline was a master cook. The holidays were her favorite times of the year to cook for and enjoy her family. Earline also was an avid flower gardener her entire life, every spring she would line her home with beautiful flowers that were adored by many. Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Greenley of Waterloo, IL, Pamela J. (Walter) Hohrein of Millstadt, IL, and Susan (Richard) Buesking of Dupo, IL; son, David (Jeanny) Upchurch of Maplewood, MO; four grandsons, Jason (Trish) Stewart, Richard (Crystal) Buesking, Jerrod (Christa) Stewart, and Joel (Alesha) Greenley; four great-grandsons, Kyle Stewart, Jack Stewart, Gavin Buesking, and Colin Yaekel; two brothers, Leonard (Bev) Girard of Belleville, IL, and Gary (Pat) Girard of Imperial, MO; along with other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Girard, and sister, Ethel Hopewell. Visitation will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, 9:30 am – 11:30 am, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday July 7, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens Of Memory Mausoleum, Belleville, IL.
