Obituary for Mrs. Doris S. Fellmann Doris S Fellmann, a longtime resident of Dalton, MA passed away @ Craneville Nursing Home of Dalton on Saturday June 30th 2018, due to complications after a long Illness. She was 95 years old. Doris was born on September 28th, 1922 in Ridgewood New York, daughter of Walter & Kathleen Hausel during the “Roaring Twenties” and the “Great Depression”. She married the love of her life, William A Fellmann on March 13th 1953 and celebrated their 65 Wedding Anniversary this spring. Doris traveled the country, driving “coast to coast” with her husband “Sandy” in their family owned trucking business “Fellmann’s Moving Inc.” until 1956. The Fellmann’s moved to Glendale New York & then to the Berkshires in 1963. They finally settled in Dalton in 1969. Doris was part of her local church, St Agnes & the Rosary Society. Prayer and love of reading her bible were her focus along with helping out with her Grandkids, before she became ill. Doris is survived by her beloved husband William (Sandy)(Pops) Fellmann, her son & daughter -in-law, Steven & Kristen (Herzig) Fellmann of Cheshire Mass, a nephew Michael Gross and his wife Rosa of Windsor. Five beloved grandchildren: Sarah Rose Fellmann of Florida, MA, Christopher and Genevieve Fellmann of Boulder Colorado, Alexander J Fellmann of Hinsdale, & two Step Grandchildren Kaitlyn & Kyle Affhauser. She also leaves 2 Great Grand Children Addison & Aiden Whitmore, and cousins Michael Gross and his wife Rosa and Jimmy Corl. Doris is predeceased by her beloved sister Helen and her husband Bill Johnson. A niece Carol Anne Coral and her son Dr. Richard Gross. FUNERAL NOTICE- Funeral services for Mrs. Doris S. Fellman will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 12:30PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. A time of visitation will be held before the service starting at 11:30AM and continuing until the start of the service at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Donation in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
