Donald G. Hord, age 71 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maryville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army, 9th Infantry Division, having served during Vietnam, was retired from the Coca Cola Company. He was a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge #128 F&AM and a Blount County Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyle and Rowena Gideon Hord; twin brother, Ronnie Hord; sister, Betty Harper. Survivors include his wife, Karan Hord; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Ashley Hord, sons, Dallas Hord, Robert Hord; expected grandchild; sister, Brenda Hord; best friend, Jimmy Runyon; his best little buddy, Jax. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Rev. Ronald Longmire and Rev. Jimmy Runyon officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Grandview Cemetery.
