Dean H. Smith, 82, of Convoy, OH, died 11:13AM Friday @ Van Wert Inpatient Hospice, Van Wert, OH. Dean was born on June 4, 1936 in Van Wert County, OH, to Homer A. & Ruth (Greenawalt) Smith who are both deceased. Surviving is his wife: Pat (Harden) Smith of Convoy, OH; Children: Shelly Early, Muncie, IN, Roger (Shelly) Smith, Van Wert, OH; Dana (Bobbie) Smith, Van Wert, OH; Son Jeffrey D. Smith is deceased; Daughter in law Beverly Smith of Van Wert, OH; 17 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren and Twin Brother Dale Smith of Van Wert, OH. Preceding him are brothers Donald, Robert, Richard, Fred and Kenneth Smith. He was a semi driver for Holsum Bakery, Ft. Wayne, IN, for 39 years. He attended Trinity Friends Church Van Wert, OH. Dean loved Van Wert Council on Aging and playing bingo there. He was an avid auction goer and loved being with people. Calling hours will be 2-6:00PM Monday July 23,2018 @ Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy, OH. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday July 24,2018 @ Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy, OH.
