Obituary for Cloyce Leslie Rankin On June 30, 2018, the Lord called into His presence, Cloyce Leslie Rankin, and the Angels rejoiced. He was born in Quincy, Florida to L. C. and Vella Rankin, on May 12, 1048. Cloyce was married to his high school sweetheart, Judy, just shy of 50 years. He was a Godly man who loved the Lord, his family, and his country. Cloyce served overseas in the Army and enjoyed a 33 year career in the U.S. Forest Service. He spent many years watching ball games, dance recitals, and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Cloyce took pride in his family and enjoyed being Papa. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, his four-legged best friend Bubba, his three children, Lesley Rankin Doughty (Brian) of Thomasville, GA, Eric Rankin (Mindy) of Lynn Haven, Florida, and Myles Rankin (Meagan) of Tallahassee, Florida. He was Papa to five grandchildren: Brianna, Madison, Katelyn, Will, and Vella Kate. Two sisters, Sandra Coxwell, Gabra Barber (Dexter), and one brother, Mike Rankin, as well as many nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol, FL. The graveside service will immediately follow at Bristol Cemetery. The family will also receive friends Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bevis Funeral Home in Bristol, FL.
