OBITUARY Bernard Benjamin August 2, 1925 – July 24, 2018 Bernard “Buddy” Benjamin, beloved husband of the late Sherri; devoted father of Barry Benjamin (Karen) and Jack Benjamin (Michelle) of Grove City, OH; adored grandfather of Brett Benjamin (Courtney), Alyssa Anderson (Captain Ben), Lindsay Deering (Brad), Sean Benjamin and Isabelle Benjamin; cherished great grandfather of Poppy Jean Deering, Sawyer Deering, Penelope Anderson and the late Spyder Blaine Conlin Deering; dear brother of Paul Benjamin deceased. Buddy Benjamin was the owner operator of Wade Drug store for over 30 with his brother Paul Benjamin. Buddy fought in WW II as a combat soldier in many battles including the Battle of the Bulge. He received three Bronze Stars along with many other commendations for his service. An avid tennis player, Cleveland sports fan Buddy and his beloved wife loved to travel, especially the USA. His interests also included photography and Masonic life where he reached the rank of Master Mason. Services will be held Friday July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM (A Masonic Service, University Hts. Lodge will take place at 10:45 AM) at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Heights. Interment Bet Olam Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Benjamin residence 38270 McDowell, Solon. Immediately following interment to 7:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to a charity of choice as Mr. Benjamin supported so many causes.
