A devoted husband and loving father who was born on December 29, 1944, William departed this life May 31, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Growing up in Summit Hill, PA, he proudly served his country in Vietnam and returned home to marry the love of his life, Barbara Fedora with whom he just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in May. William was employed for over 30 years with Silberline Manufacturing. Starting first as a general laborer, he worked his way up to become a Plant Maintenance Supervisor. William always felt his time was best spent at home with his family, first providing for and raising his three children, William Jr., Christianne and Nicole. In his later years, his interests grew to building and creating things. In his retirement years, William loved working with his hands and could always be found in his workshop creating unique pieces of furniture and other items for friends and family. He was of the Orthodox Faith. William is survived by his wife, Barbara of Andreas, PA; son, William James of Andreas; daughters, Christianne Bayer and her husband Stephen of Tamaqua, PA and Nicole Faenza of Douglasville, PA; siblings, Donald, Theodore, Marilyn Markay, and Lisa Kirklosky; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Myrle (nee Herring) Faenza; siblings, Sylvia, Joseph who was William’s twin, and Ralph; and on Saturday his favorite canine companion, Winston. Services will be held at 8:30 PM on Monday, June 4 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Very Rev. James P. Weremedic officiating.
