Obituary for William LeRoy Hanstine William (Bill) Hanstine passed through Heaven’s Gate on March 19, 2018. Bill was born August 18, 1926 to George and Ida Hanstine. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel, son John, twin brother Widrow, and his second wife Elva. Bill loved to sing and jig (dance). His favorite past times were NASCAR racing and fishing. He loved the outdoors and in his later years enjoyed camping in the mountains. He had a strong work ethic and told many stories of his work and life. He was a stone cutter, logger, truck driver, carpenter and painter. He was always ready to give a helping hand and dish out jokes and pranks to friends and family. Bill is survived by his sons George (Susan) and Billy (Linda) and his daughters Frances Brown (Ken), Charlotte Mathis (Jerry), and Dale O’Grady (Barry). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Family members would like to extend a special thanks to Encompass Hospice and Washington Terrace Care Facility for their outstanding and professional care of Bill. A wake will be held to honor Bill on Saturday, March 24, 2018 beginning at 3pm MT through the evening hours. Please stop by 5111 Fillmore Ave, Ogden, UT to celebrate his life and share memories.
