Timothy P. Farmer, 64, of Dexter, New York passed away on Tuesday May 29th, 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Becker-Cleveland Funeral Home, Chaumont. Timothy was born September 28th, 1953 in Watertown to Richard Farmer andMarjorie (Mantle) Farmer, and lived on Pillar Point most of his life. Timothy graduated from General Brown in 1971 where he participated in many activities including Football, Lacrosse and Key Club. He then went to JCC until he enlisted in the United States Army. He served from 1972 to 1974, receiving the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service and a National Defense service medal. After his service he went back to JCC and obtained an associates degree. He then worked on railroad until he started working for NYS Department of Environmental Conservationwhich he retired from there after 35 years as a Conservation Operations Supervisor 2. Timothy was a member of the Sons of the American Legion #583 in Dexter. He also was a coach for the Dexter Lion’s Pop Warner Football team for 15 years and an assistant JV lacrosse coach for the General Brown Lions. He was an active outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing in which he shared his knowledge of both with many people; kids and adults alike. Timothy was a licensed charter captain and owned his own business “Lucky Lund Charters”. He was known by many as a legendary fisherman whose passion for the sport was passed down to his two sons. Tim was also associated with the Galloo Island and all of their operations (hunting, fishing, and transportation). The island was a very special place to him and he spent as much time as he could there. Being a true American as he was, he loved “America’s Team” the Dallas Cowboys! Timothy is predeceased by his parents, and his brother Paul Farmer. Timothy is survived by his significant other Hope Kizzer,Dexter, NY; his sons Richard Farmer (Kaitlynn Treadway) Pillar Point, NY and Paul (Etosha) Farmer Dexter, NY. He is also survived by his granddaughters Quinn and Everly Farmer as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life Friday June 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Legion in Brownville.
