Obituary of Thomas Olson Thomas W. Olson Loving Husband, Father, and Grandpa Born and raised in St. Paul, Tom was proud to make his home on the Eastside for all of his 70 years. A graduate of Johnson H.S.’s class of ‘66, Tom attended St. Paul College and spent four years in the U.S. Airborne Reserves. Tom met the love of his life, Leslie, while working at the YWCA, and on June 22, 1974 they married in Bloomington, Illinois. Before retiring from West Publishing after 33 years of work, Tom was an amazing athlete who was active in many sports leagues. Tom enjoyed fantasy football and was an avid supporter of the Wild, Twins, Vikings, and the Johnson Governors and St. Cloud State hockey teams. Tom loved Jesus Christ and was a faithful servant of the Lord. In retirement, Tom’s ministry was rescuing Bibles from estate sales and thrift stores to send to churches in need around the world, which he loved doing. A great man and dedicated father, he was selfless and always there for his kids and anyone else who needed him.
