Obituary for Shawn Ray Hooper Shawn Ray Hooper, 44, of Roanoke, Texas, was surrounded in love by his family when he passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas. Shawn was a disabled Army Veteran, proud to have served in the 10th Mountain Division. His back was severely injured while deployed in Haiti in the mid-1990s. In the years since the accident, he suffered debilitating, severe back pain and underwent multiple surgeries. The only things that made Shawn more proud than his service to his country were his sons, 14-year-old Andersen and 5-year-old Peyton. He was a talented musician who loved music, and he passed that musical gift along to his son Andy. He was a terrific cook and a karaoke master with a great voice. Shawn loved fishing, movie nights with his family, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, and making everyone laugh. Shawn is survived by his wife, Nahida Hooper, sons Andersen Hooper and Peyton Hooper, parents Terri and Dennis Rocheleau, sister Melody (Robert) Woods, brother Jeremy (Tiffany) Rocheleau.
